8 spice roasted almonds
A simple roasted almond recipe that is sure to please!
These almonds make a perfect treat when hunger spikes between meals. They also work well atop kitchari, salads, or any other dish with grain/rice.
Try and eat just one. We dare you!
Ingredients
2 cups raw almonds
2 TBS ghee
4 tsp maple syrup
2 TBS 8 Spice Digestive
Method
- Preheat oven to 350° F. 
- Soak and peel the almonds. Place the almonds in a bowl and submerge with water just off the boil. Once the water has cooled down, pop the skins off each almond, and place the almonds into another bowl. 
- Melt the ghee, and pour over the almonds. Add maple syrup and 8 spice to the almonds. 
- Mix well with your hands. Spread evenly onto two baking sheets. 
- Bake for 10-15 minutes, stirring often so as not to burn the almonds. 
- Once the almonds have begun to brown, remove and let cool to room temperature. 
- Store in a glass jar.
