We are seeking a Guest Experience Associate to be the welcoming heart of our wellness center. This is a multi-dimensional, front-of-house role, accountable for:

You set the space and the tone for every client's visit, offering orientation, supporting the flow of services and classes, and helping clients understand and apply our Ayurvedic Apothecary products. You hold the space for the healing, large and small, that happens here every day.

This role blends warm hospitality with organized, detail-oriented coordination across departments.


key deliverables

Guest Experience

  • Provide a warm, calm, confident, and attentive welcome and communication for all guests and clients

  • Oversee client arrival, scheduling, and check-out; provide clear information to visitors

  • Manage accurate, proactive appointment scheduling in Square in compliance with AWC guidelines, supporting practitioner goals

  • Ensure all client forms and waivers are complete ahead of guest arrival, and relay key client updates to practitioners in a timely way

  • Maintain an organized, clean environment aligned with Ayurvedic principles, including daily opening/closing checklists and treatment room turnover

  • Cultivate a peaceful, healing atmosphere in the client waiting area, supporting the Operations Team with steady, purposeful energy

Retail Apothecary

  • Cultivate rapport with current and potential clients and customers

  • Share Ayurvedic product knowledge in a way that supports each client's wellness, and stay current on new products

  • Oversee client order pick-up and maintain an inviting, well-stocked, seasonally refreshed retail environment

  • Comfortable selling goods and services, with an eye toward contributing to retail sales goals

Group Classes & Events

  • Facilitate class and event registration; greet regular attendees and members by name

  • Support livestream sessions and maintain the On-Demand Library, including uploading and organizing content

  • Prepare space and materials for classes and events with consistency and care, coordinating logistics with teachers and the Assistant Manager

  • Ensure the atrium is clean, organized, and well maintained for students and guests

Ayurvedic Wellness Center is an intimate healing space. Clinical sessions, Ayurvedic bodywork, education programs, and client care are happening throughout the day.

This role is the first face our clients and students see, setting the tone for their entire visit.

We are seeking someone who brings a warm, grounded presence into the space, understands that organization and hospitality directly empower healing, and is passionate about the sciences of Yoga and Ayurveda.

Openness to learning about Ayurveda and the context of our work is expected. Prior background is not required.

qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum one year of customer service experience

  • Tech-friendly and confident across a range of software and tools. You love an app for that

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent self-directed learning

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to represent AWC's tone (warm, grounded, professional) in person, by phone, and in writing

  • Available to work a consistent weekly schedule within the 10–15 hour part-time range, including some evenings and weekends for special events

  • Physically able to stand/move for the duration of a shift, lift up to 25 lbs, and bend, kneel, or sit on the floor as needed

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in a customer-facing, hospitality, retail, or front-desk role

  • Minimum one year of front desk or scheduling experience

  • Familiarity with wellness, Yoga, or Ayurveda, or a strong personal interest in the field

  • Experience with scheduling/booking/retail POS systems (Square or similar)

compensation structure

  • $15-17/hour

  • 10-15 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends

  • Compensation advances via a documented competency framework

  • Performance reviews aligned with operational KPIs
