svastha: ayurvedic theory + practice course

Svastha: Ayurvedic Theory + Practice Course (virtual classroom)
w. Kara Aubin . E.RYT, PAC, AYT

what is svastha?

Sva (self) + Stha (stability, to be established in). Svastha is the word Ayurveda uses for health. Ayurveda is an elegant life science that holds the theory and mechanisms to assist you as an individual in returning to and maintaining your own inherent constitutional balance. Holding that health is so much more than an absence of disease, Ayurveda helps us cultivate a level of wellness that allows us to show up fully in our lives: vibrantly, vitally, and energetically.

what will I learn?

This course is organized in three modules around the three Ayurvedic pillars of health. Each module will be presented in three live-streamed classes that will connect ancient Ayurvedic teachings with small daily steps you can take to create abundant health.

Each module is grounded in the classical teachings of Ayurveda, using primarily the classical text, the Ashtanga Hrdayam. In addition to theory, with each module you’ll receive home practices to allow you to have an embodied experience of the teachings.

Module 3 - Nidra / sleep + restoration

  • Ayurvedic approaches to adequate, restful, healing sleep

  • How the ayurvedic clock is impacting your ability to get and stay asleep

  • Doshic impacts on rest, rejuvenation, and sleep

  • Breath - the forgotten input

  • Distraction is not rest; how to actually rejuvenate body and mind

  • The science of yogic sleep

who is this course for?

  • Svastha is for those students who wish to go beyond foundational Ayurvedic concepts

  • You’ll begin to ground your Ayurvedic learning in the classical texts of Ayurveda, using direct shloka references

  • This course covers both Ayurvedic theory AND practical application of Ayurvedic practices

  • Foundations of Ayurveda, Sva Sadhana, (or a similar course/learning) is a prerequisite

how you’ll engage the teachings

Svastha is available as a livestreamed course, or via on-demand recordings.

In each module you’ll receive instruction from an Ayurvedic Practitioner, with clinical experience working alongside the leading Ayurvedic teachers in the U.S. Each module contains digital materials to enrich your learning, and home practices to give you a practical application of the theory in your daily life.
