why Ayurveda?
Ayurveda, 'The Science of Life', is an ancient system of healing from India. This holistic system looks at how the five elements manifest uniquely in each individual and addresses imbalances based on your unique constitutional type, known in Ayurveda as Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.
The result? A modality that 'sees' you as a person, and not as your symptoms or disease. This is not a one-size fits all approach.
how we approach clinical ayurveda
Our clinically trained Ayurvedic practitioners guide you through a holistic journey across four pillars:
Nutrition – tailored to your digestion and constitution
Daily rhythm & lifestyle – to support energy and balance
Yoga & breath – appropriate to your mind‑body needs
Herbal support – rooted in classical tradition and individualized to you
This multi-pronged approach is truly holistic and addresses physical, energetic, and mental wellness. Your health concerns and goals are the guiding principle for this work.
You and your practitioner will work together as partners to cultivate the practices that will enable you to feel how you want to feel.
Ayurveda is a holistic approach to wellness that addresses the individual.
Ayurveda is a profound way to address a variety of health issues.

don’t take our word for it… what clinical clients are saying
Kara has made practicing Ayurveda extremely simple and straightforward for me. From the outside, I was intimidated to start working with her because it seemed like there was so much I didn’t understand about Ayurveda. But once I started, I was surprised at how little I needed to know, and how easy it has been to integrate her suggestions into my daily routine. After only a couple of months, I feel a strong sense of internal cleanliness and vitality.
- Ian Z.
I can't imagine not working with Kristin! I've seen so many amazing and tangible changes in my system over the past 8 months. My life truly feels changed. Kristin is welcoming, deeply knowledgeable, clear in her instructions and plans, and is accommodating to your needs.

There are no gimmicks here, nothing to buy, nor quick fixes- only ancient truths and techniques to help you live a richer, fuller, healthier and happier life. I will forever be a student of Ayurveda.

A: An Ayurvedic protocol is a personalized roadmap designed to restore balance and support your unique constitution. After your consultation, your practitioner will create a plan that typically includes four primary areas of support:
Food Practice – Guidance on what, how, and when to eat to nourish your digestive strength (Agni) and support your healing.
Lifestyle Practice – Daily routines, sleep hygiene, stress management, and seasonal adjustments to help regulate your rhythms and support vitality.
Yoga & Breathwork – Specific postures, breath practices (pranayama), and meditation tailored to your current state to harmonize body, mind, and energy.
Herbs – Classical Ayurvedic herbal formulas or custom-prepared remedies to support your physiology and guide the healing process.
Each protocol is curated to meet you where you are—and to evolve with you as your healing unfolds.

A: Based on over a decade of clinical experience, we find that scheduling appointments every 4 weeks strikes the right balance. This allows time to observe the impact of your recommendations while maintaining continuity, focus, and accountability.
If you need more frequent support, we offer shorter 15-minute Quick Care appointments that can be added in between sessions. As you progress in your care, appointment intervals may naturally extend based on your needs and goals.
-
A: Yes, we offer virtual consultations for both new and returning clients. If you’re local or able to travel, we highly recommend coming in person for your Initial Consultation. This allows your practitioner to perform Nadi Pariksha (pulse analysis), a cornerstone of Ayurvedic assessment that offers deep insight into your constitution and current state of imbalance.
That said, if in-person is not possible, you can still receive meaningful and effective care through a virtual appointment. We’ll adapt our approach to meet you where you are.
-
A: This is something we hear often. Many approaches fail not because they’re wrong, but because they’re too general. They treat the condition, not the individual experiencing it.
Ayurveda is different. We work with you - your unique constitution, your life history, your mind-body patterns, and the root causes underlying your symptoms. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all model. It’s a deeply individualized system that addresses imbalances across all layers of being: physical, mental, emotional, and energetic.
As a result, many clients find that Ayurveda reveals root causes and initiates meaningful progress where other approaches have fallen short. When we tend to the whole person, not just the condition, we often see healing begin.
