The Ayurvedic Asanas class is only half way through and after the first class I was able to incorporate so many simple but profound tools to my life. Kara is so knowledgeable and down to earth. Also really appreciated the replay option when I had to miss class. Looking forward to more classes here for sure!

The on-Demand library at AWC has given me the freedom to explore and take my Ayurvedic knowledge and understanding of Yoga to the next level.

I love this class. Judah is incredibly knowledgeable. This is definitely a gentle yoga class. I would recommend this class to anyone who is wanting a slower moving class that still provides strong yoga poses.

what our members say…

When I think about being a member of the Ayurveda Wellness Center, the word that comes up for me is "belonging".. While there are definitely very concrete benefits to the All Access Membership (classes, monthly Yoga Nidra, full access to on-demand library and discounts in the apothecary), it's the more subtle presence of this kind of belonging that draws me in.

- Chris K.

I love the AWC All Access Membership! It's like having the best personal instructor in your home on your schedule. I really love having access to all the classes whenever I need them! I can find the best class that meets the needs of my mind and body!

- Jen R.

One of the aspects I enjoy most about my AWC Membership is that I can sign up a month in advance for any of the weekly, in-person or online, classes that fit my schedule. This includes being a regular attendee of Kara's monthly Yoga Nidra offering.

- Judah G.

I use the account to sign up for classes and events at the beginning of each month. Using the On Demand Library to add to my daily practices and when I miss a class. The discounts on Events and Apothecary purchases help with the monthly budget.

6 Directions of Asana

Via the teachings of Hatha Yoga we identify six unique directions that āsana can take us: each with their own unique physical goals, prānic effects, and shaping of the mental body construct. Join Kara Aubin E.RYT, for this 6 class journey into the heart of the science of Hatha Yoga.
This course is a great “next step” for beginning-intermediate yoga students to pull back the curtain on how your asana practice is creating the effects you experience with a practice.

The 8 Limbs: The Yamas

This asana-based course with Kara Aubin uses the 8 limbs of Patanjali's Yoga Sutras as a framework to explore how we can embody our Yoga. We begin our study with the first of the 8 limbs, The Yamas and explore how we can live our yoga off the mat by cultivating these five observances of evolutionary behavior on the mat. The Yamas will shape your relationship to the external world, and in turn shape your relationship to your internal world.

The 8 Limbs: The Niyamas

During this asana-based semester we embark on the second of the 8 Stages of Yoga, the Niyamas, and explore how we can live our yoga off the mat by cultivating these five ways of thinking on the mat. The Niyamas serve as a guide for the personal work of yoga, where we begin to see our worldview shaped by our practice.  Asana, pranayama, and meditation will be our tools to experience the teachings of the Yoga Sutras.

The 8 Limbs: Asana - Samadhi

During these six weeks we utilize the foundation built by the Yamas and the Niyamas to take a subtle look at the practices of asana and pranayama that ultimately culminate in meditation. Here the practices begin to yield subtle and powerful change on many levels of our experience.  Asana, pranayama and meditation will be our tools to explore the foundational teachings that have guided the practice of yogis for thousands of years.
