Release & Restore (in-person + livestream)
w. Kat Owens

What does it mean to practice Yoga in a way that aligns our inner world with a larger vision of liberation for all beings? Release and Restore invites you to use the tools of Yoga to support yourself so that we can respond more compassionately to injustice and harm in the world. With the support of a certified Yoga Therapist, these sessions are trauma-informed and facilitated in a way that supports unhurried movement, agency, and choice.

Each gathering will include:

  • Invitational sharing as an opportunity to ground and be present with one another, connecting our individual Yoga practice to a collective network of support.

  • Adaptable and modified poses to support diverse bodies and abilities.

  • A balance of more active posture sequences alongside restorative practices and guided rest.

  • Exploring Yoga as an engaged practice for collective well-being.

While these classes can be beneficial for all, they may be especially supportive for those desiring deeper community, navigating specific health concerns, and/or looking to integrate their personal practice into a greater vision of social change.

This class is offered in-person at the Ayurvedic Wellness Center or livestream via Zoom. Registration includes access to a class recording for 7 days.

Can’t participate live on Tuesdays at 5:30p ET? No worries, you can find a recording of this class in our on-demand library 24 hours after each session.
