The Ayurvedic Wellness Center is the home for teaching the teachings and practice of Ayurveda and Yoga in Southwest Michigan, facilitating radical wellness through time-honored Vedic technologies. Weโ€™re located near downtown Kalamazoo, in a sanctuary surrounded by the healing qualities of nature.

โ€œI can't say enough positive things about my experiences with the Ayurvedic Wellness Center; the entire Team and the program offerings they provide have changed my life and perspective immensely. I began consultations two years ago and was given a regimen that has changed my health and wellness forever. I completed this entire journey with AWC through online consultation all while living in New York and Florida. I am grateful, and can't imagine being on this journey without AWC.โ€

- Jodi B.

โ€œFrom medicinal teas, to expert bodywork, to Ayurvedic practitioners on staff that can help you get to the root cause of dis-ease, the Ayurvedic Wellness Center offers wrap-around care that is incredibly supportive for wellness. I wouldnโ€™t go anywhere else.โ€

ayurvedic spring cleanse

a 28-day reset

March 1-28, 2025
w. Kara Aubin . E.RYT500, CAP, AYT

During this Spring Cleanse process, weโ€™ll take an Ayurvedic, 28 day, food-based approach to cleansing and rejuvenation. This integrated, effective approach will leave you feeling clearer, cleaner, and renewed.

Ayurveda views seasonal transitions to be important opportunities for cleansing and rejuvenation. The transition from winter to spring is a time to clear the excess heavy and cold qualities that have accumulated throughout the winter.

Our Ayurvedic seasonal cleanses consist of food practices and lifestyle practices to best align with the doshic influences of the season. Youโ€™ll be instructed in recommended home practices to create optimal functioning of  digestion, elimination, and immune systems. This is a month to clear last seasonโ€™s accumulations, and gently reset the system for the season ahead.

What is it like to die in today's world? What does end of life look like for most people now? We will discuss what statistically happens for those dying and explore the feasibility of alternative scenarios. Equip yourself with knowledge about legal and medical matters related to death, such as advance care planning, living wills, and funeral/disposition planning. This practical understanding can bring a sense of control and alleviate anxieties for you and your loved ones.

Remember, death is not the ending; it's a transformation. Let's approach it with open hearts and minds, and discover the beauty and wisdom that lie within.

ayurvedic consultations

Ayurveda, often translated as 'The Science of Life', is an ancient system of healing from India. This holistic system looks at how the five elements manifest uniquely in each individual and treats imbalances based on your unique constitution. The result? A modality that 'sees' you as a person, and not as your symptoms or disease.

โ€œI wanted holistic support to help me address a few health issues I had, and found the perfect practitioner at the AWC. I am sleeping better, have more energy and feel the benefits of continuing to work with the protocols recommended specifically for me.โ€

- Laurie D.

Community Care Fund

In 2021, the Ayurvedic Wellness Center started a Community Care Fund (CCF) to partially or fully cover Ayurvedic services for clients who are in financial need. The Community Care Fund allows those in our community who, at any given time, have adequate financial means to support the healing journey of someone who otherwise would not have access to these practices.

There are two ways you can contribute

  1. Any gratuities for Kara Aubin will be paid directly into the CCF.

  2. You may chose to make a donation at any time.  You can add this donation to your retail purchase, or donate directly.

If you would like to utlize Community Care Fund resources to support your healing journey, please email us to schedule.

The AWC thanks you for your community care!
