new moon yoga nidra (virtual session)

January New Moon Yoga Nidra (Virtual Session) with Kara Aubin E.RYT, PAC, AYT

The new moon marks the beginning of a new lunar cycle, and as such is a time to get clear, set intentions, and plant the seeds you intend to germinate over the remaining lunar phases. It is a time to turn inward, and find stillness.

Yoga Nidra (literally yogic sleep) presents an opportunity to plant these seeds of intention not in the unstable soil of the lower mind, but deep in the steady earth of awareness itself.

This monthly Yoga nidra offering presents an opportunity to evaluate and realign with the potentiation of the new moon. Each session begins with an opportunity to hone your aspirations for the month ahead. We’ll ready the body for a deep restoration, and move prana to quiet the lower mind. You’ll then deepen into the restoration that only Yoga nidra offers.

This practice is offered via Zoom, so that you may join wherever the new moon finds you. Each session will be recorded, and you will be emailed a link you can use at your convenience for a week.

Suggested Supplies:

Please gather a nidra nest in advance of our practice. Something cushioned to lie on (yoga mat, blanket, etc), a bolster or blanket roll for your knees, a blanket or shawl to keep drafts off, and an eye cover if your room will be bright. A height (blanket, meditation cushion) to sit on. A journal or other to capture your reflections or musings is also suggested.
