Beginning Birding: The Great Backyard Bird Count (in-person)
w. Seth Chapman

We all need a little incentive to get outside in midwinter and look for birds beyond what we see from our windows. Join Seth Chapman, experienced birder, for the Great Backyard Bird Count—a global community science event that brings together bird lovers of all skill levels.

Each February, birders around the world submit their observations to eBird, the world’s largest biodiversity-related citizen science project. Launched by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the National Audubon Society, this effort helps scientists better understand global bird populations before spring migration. You’re invited to contribute to this worldwide project as we hike through Kleinstuck Preserve together.
