The Practice: 6 Directions of Asana (in-person + livestream)

Via the teachings of Hatha Yoga we identify six unique directions that āsana can take us: each with their own unique physical goals, prānic effects, and shaping of the mental body construct. Join Ayurvedic Practitioner and Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist, Kara Aubin E.RYT, for this 6 week journey into the heart of the science of Hatha Yoga.
This course is a great “next step” for beginning-intermediate yoga students to pull back the curtain on how your asana practice is creating the effects you experience with a practice.
You'll learn how to use your āsana practice to:
- address the needs of your physical body
- direct prana/life force for desired energetic effect
- shift mood and emotional states including anxious and depressed mind
- support sound sleep and wakefulness
- shift thought patterns
This series will utilize the tools of Asana, Yantra, Mudra, Prana Vayus, Kriyas, and more.
6 week semester: August 17 - September 28 (skip August 31).
This class is offered in-person at the Ayurvedic Wellness Center or livestream via Zoom. Registration in one of these “live” classes includes access to a recording for 7 days.
Can’t participate live on Wednesday’s at 5:30p EST? No worries, you can find a recording of this class in our on-demand library 24 hours after each session.
