September Beginning Birding: a Guided Birdwatching Hike

Join Seth, Apothecary Coordinator and experienced birder, on a hike through Kleinstuck Preserve.
During this hike you will learn to positively identify our target species, the Eastern Towhee. You'll learn what makes this bird different from other birds you may encounter; and you'll learn about their habitat, feeding preferences, and unique characteristics.
Come to hike, spend time in community, and build your bird knowledge!
Please bring a pair of binoculars and a travel mug for complementary chai.
Hike length: 1.5 mi, easy difficulty
This hike takes place Saturday, September 24 from 8:00a-9:30a ET.

Seth's Yoga + Āyurveda journey began over a decade ago after attending a yoga class in Kalamazoo. He is a life-long learner with a passion for nature, and an interest in learning new skills. He is now the Apothecary Coordinator here at the Āyurvedic Wellness Center.
Seth has a lifelong passion for birds, and loves sharing his enthusiasm of the bird world with those around him. His interest in birds led him to begin his life list at the age of 10. Seth also volunteers at a local nature center where he monitors nestboxes, as well as volunteers at a bird banding station.
