March Birding Basics: Preparing for Spring Migration
w. Seth Chapman
Warm up with a hot cup of chai and take delight in the birds this month at the Ayurvedic Wellness Center! In this third and final session of birding basics, we study perhaps the most mysterious and unique quality of our feathered friends; the miracle of migration.
Spend the morning with our passionate, in-house birder, Seth Chapman, learning about this trait that has perplexed mankind for centuries. Course content will also cover territory and nesting habits of various species of birds. This class will prepare you for your upcoming birding adventures, as spring migration quickly approaches.
This three part series is recommended for those who wish to gain a deeper understanding of the life of birds, and those who are interested in becoming better birder. Content covered here is directly applicable to our hikes in Kleinstuck Preserve, which will resume in April.
This is an educational birding class held indoors at AWC. This class does not include a bird hike.
