While our Sandalwood + Rose Face Scrub is a great all-around facial cleanser, this formula is a hydrating alternative for dry or aging Vata-type skin.

This blend utilizes the soothing qualities of whole milk powder to provide deep hydration. Also in this formulation is Red Sandalwood, one of the secrets to beautiful, clear skin in the Ayurvedic tradition, known for its ability to cool and soothe irritated skin. Additional herbs include Triphala, which tones the tissues, and Frankincense, used here to improve sun damage, fine lines, and elasticity.

To use as a scrub, mix 1/4 tsp powder in palm with warm water (or other carrier as suggested by your practitioner) until you’ve made a paste. Gently scrub circles into skin. Rinse and follow with our Face Oil.

To use as a mask, repeat as above and leave on to dry (~ 10 minutes).
