Join Apothecary Coordinator and trained birder, Seth Chapman for a guided birdwatching hike through Kleinstuck Preserve. Each on-donation session features a teaching on a specific bird species, and includes complimentary Ayurvedic chai.
This session Seth will discuss the Dark-Eyed Junco and give tips on how to identify these birds, where to look for them, and cover other topics such as behavior, breeding habits, and more.
You will then be able to take this information with you and use as a reference for future outdoor adventures!
Birds are generally more active in the early morning hours, so we will meet October 23 at 8:00a at the AWC.
Bring binoculars if you have them (we'll have a few community pairs), and a mug to fill with Ayurvedic Chai if you like.
Hike length: 1.5 mi, easy difficulty.
Class offered on donation, suggested $10 (minimum $5).
