Gentle Yoga offers a mindful practice designed to cultivate flexibility, balance, strength, calmness, and inner attunement of body and mind. Led by Judah Gesmundo, this class provides a supportive environment to move, breathe, and connect inward—helping you begin your day with steadiness and ease.
Each session integrates gentle movement, mindful breathwork, and awareness-based practices that nourish both body and spirit.
what to expect
In this class, participants will:
Begin with gentle opening postures to lubricate the joints from toes to head
Move through active sequences to build strength, balance, and prana (vital energy)
Cultivate inwardly directed awareness and meditative focus
Use breath as a tool to calm the nervous system and strengthen concentration

All levels are welcome—this class is accessible to beginners and supportive for continuing students alike.
how can I participate?
Join in-person at the Ayurvedic Wellness Center or livestream via Zoom. Can’t attend live? Each class recording will be available in our on-demand library 24 hours later.
when is the class?
Weekly on Thursdays at 10:00a ET.
what should I bring?
Please bring your own yoga mat. Blocks, straps, and blankets are provided for your convenience.

Judah Gesmundo
Judah was first exposed to Hatha Yoga when her mother followed Lilias! Yoga and You on PBS. She was a professional modern dancer from 1975-1980, teaching in NYC for Erick Hawkins and at her own school called The Dance Place. Judah was exposed to Yoga teachings and practices in 1979 and completed her Hatha Yoga teachers training in Ganeshpuri, India in 1990.
Judah is a life-long learner and thoroughly enjoys sharing her love of Yoga, movement, and meditation with others.
